Police: Arrest made in Hazard vehicle break-ins

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The Hazard Police Department made an arrest Friday evening after receiving several complaints about break-ins on the north side of Hazard Thursday and Friday.

The break-ins occurred around the Combs Road exit near the Walmart and exit 56.

37-year-old Scott Howard Miller of East Bernstadtwas arrested in the Bulan community. During the arrest, two firearms that had previously been stolen were recovered along with other stolen property.

If you believe one of these firearms may be yours, you are encouraged to contact the Hazard Police Department at 606-436-2222 to verify if your firearm has been recovered.

The Hazard Police Department also encourages people to not leave valuables in their cars. If you do leave anything in your car, they encourage you to hide it and lock the doors.
